Last-Minute Teacher Gifts: Washi Tape Pencil Holders
This fun to make and non-messy project is a great idea for end of the year teacher gifts from your kids! We found cardboard chip canisters of different heights, and also some regular ole' glasses we got at the dollar store. Washi tape can be found at art supply stores or online. It's super fun, colorful, and can be used in so many ways!

1. Start by rinsing/drying your canisters/glasses. Then, cut your paper to size and wrap around the chip canister using the glue stick. If you're working on a glass, you can leave it as clear glass for a cool effect.
2. Choose your tapes and start wrappin'. It's really fun and addictive. Try going horizontally and leaving a little space in between your rows, or overlap. Try going vertically or try plaid. Go crazy!
3. You're done! If you'd like to make your chip canister into a change keeper instead - simply cut a slit in the plastic top using an xacto knife or scissors. <---- That step is strictly for grown-ups.
