Burwell New York Sample Sale
I don't usually post on the weekends, but there has been so much to post about and I just haven't been able to get to it all. I'll be posting today and tomorrow. Here's a roundup of a bunch of random activities for this weekend and upcoming week.
Broadway is back. I went to see Is He Dead?, a new Mark Twain play. You can find discounts for this and other shows, like The Grinch at NewYorkology.com.
I stumbled upon a really cool after-school and camp program, Wild Blue. It dubs itself as a geography-oriented exploration and adventure center for children aged 3-11. They are having an Open House today, Sat., Dec. 8th from 10am to 12pm or 2-4pm at 401 East 76th St with activities for kids, and examples of some of the experiences their explorers have been through. If any one goes to this and wants to report back, or knows about this program, I'd love to hear about it.
If you're looking for perfect clothes for a little boy for the Holidays, check out the Burwell sample sale. All Burwell New York pieces are design, cut, and sewn in the heart of the garment district using the finest traditional fabrics, such as herringbone, cotton velveteen, cashmere and super soft corduroy from mill in England, Italy, Spain and Japan. Vintage-inspired details are added, like the antique brass and pewter buttons, or the faux-fur collar on the peacoat. Usually you'll find them at Barney's but Get them for a song at the sample sale.
Burwell clothes are for infant to 8 years and perfect for the Holidays. The sample sale will be Wednesday & Thursday, Dec. 12th & 13th at 265 West 37th Street, 21st Fl. (between 7th & 8th)
Enter the TONYKids Cutest Kids Photo contest or the Disney Family.com Very Merry Christmas Contest with categories. You can enter in three categories, but "Scary Santa" is sure to be the most fun. The grand prize is a flat screen TV.

And, of course, the Mommy Poppins Holiday Toy Swap and Drive is next Sunday, December 16th.
