The top tip for this weekend is the Governor's Island Figment 28 Festival , an incredible sounding three-day outdoor art festival with just a wild array of really fun sounding events for adults and kids.

Bring your bikes, your picnics and all your senses for a unique outdoor art experience. Hop on the free 15 minute ferry ride and it's as though you've arrived in the Berkshires at the other end, with the picturesque environment and wonderful art festival that feels a world away from NYC. I think we'll be sorry if we miss this one.

Have you entered our New York City Waterfalls Giveaway? Even if you're not planning on entering, you should read the comments where everyone is sharing their summer plans. There are some great ideas in there.

My favorites came from Ellen who informed us that the same free biking we wrote about in Lower Manhattan is available on Fridays on Governor's Island, one of my favorite places to go bike riding in NYC.

JR is looking forward to the new Magic exhibit at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.

And Tanya reminds us not to overlook the Sony Wonder Technology Lab which has a great, free museum with music, film and video game exhibits plus the high-def theater where they host free movie screenings.

Don't forget, the City's Public Pools are opening this weekend! Yeah!

FInd more events in our event calendar and, of course, our summer fun guide.
