Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

On select days throughout the year, all national parks are open to the public with no admission fee.  

On September 24, NPS celebrates National Public Lands Day.

Before visiting a park, guests are advised to check the park website for hours and the NPS response to COVID-19, including safety information, are posted on the NPS website.

2022 dates:

January 17: Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.
April 16: First day of National Park Week
August 4: Great American Outdoors Act
September 24: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day

(No worries if you miss these days —264 of more than 400 national parks never charge an entrance fee.)
