Teens Take The Met
Teens come together to explore their creativity and make discoveries through art. Teens Take The Met spans the entire museum and introduces teens to the programs of 60+ cultural organizations from across the five boroughs.
The evening features collaborative installations, music, and art-making activities, as well as dance, poetry, and youth performances.
Highlights include a silent dance party at the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden, where Jennie C. Jones’s Roof Garden Commission, Ensemble, is installed; a magnet design challenge with New York Hall of Science; an African-inspired music performance with JAZZ HOUSE KIDS; collage making and custom poems with Scholastic Awards; pop-up podcasts with The New York Public Library; and many ongoing photo opportunities and giveaways from multiple organizations.
Teens can RSVP before the event online and enter the event through a fast-track entrance.
