Slideshow: Lavender Festival Digne Les Bains, Haute Provence

We did a house swap with a family in Digne les Bains, France last summer and found it to be one of the best family vacations we have taken. Digne les Bains is in the region of France called Haute Provence, which is Upper Provence.  

Haute Provence is lavender country and in early August there are lavender festivals throughout the region. The Digne les Bains Corso de la Lavande is a 4 day festival celebrating the region's top crop, culture and history. The Lavender Festival is followed by a Country Fair (Fete du Pays), which was a highlight for the kids.
