Spring on Long Island is in full effect and we have some great activities and events for you here. Get ready to put on your dancing shoes, wear 3D glasses or spot salamanders! With festivals, concerts and tea parties all taking place, there is something for every member of the family to get out of the house and enjoy! Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie with The Bari Koral Family Rock Band! Koral’s tunes of cards, farms, ducks and the catchy “A Day at the Beach” are sure to get your family grooving and moving! Dance and sing along with some of her biggest hits like “Backpack” or “Dad’s New Car”. Koral’s hits are sure to become fast family favorites!

Fees include admission to the museum on the day of the program.
Prepare to search for the Spotted Salamander in one of the museum's vernal ponds. One of four native mole salamanders, this salamander has a shiny black body and bright yellow spots! Bring your flashlight and wear boots as the grounds will be soggy. Reservations are required. Bring your family and experience searching for this amazing and rare salamander!

Adapted from the book by Doreen Cronin, this hilariously engaging performance features Good Old Farmer Brown and his fun but troublesome farm animal, Duck. Famer Brown leaves specific instructions for duck while he is gone, but when the farmer is away, Duck and the farm animals will play! The result is madcap and musical mutiny! After you’ve had your funny bone tickled by the antics on the farm, come to the family workshop following the performance.

Set your eyes upon the sea for a seal cruise adventure! Enjoy a great day on the bay with the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research Preservation! Prepare to set sail from Freeport, Long Island aboard the Captain Lou Fleet for a 2 hour cruise. View seals playing throughout Hempstead Bay. A naturalist will be on board to discuss the behavior and biology of seals.
A heated cabin with refreshments will be available on board or you can pack your own lunch. Bring you cameras as you prepare to see these awesome sea critters here on Long Island!
