Milk Jug Piggy Bank Craft for Kids
I love piggy banks! There is nothing more exciting than the anticipation of watching it fill up and daydreaming about what you will do with your extra cash. Kill two birds with one stone... teach kids with this super easy and affordable craft about saving money and how cool it is to recycle. Here's an easy project that is not going to break the bank (sorry).

You will need:
- Milk jug with handle
- Scissors ( grown-ups help with that part)
- Pink Paint
- Brushes
- Buttons
- Felt or Foam Shapes
- Tacky Glue
- Stick to Spread Glue
1. Lay the piggy bank on the table where it balances well. Use scissors to carefully pierce and cut a one and a half inch slit on the top of the bank for coins and bills to be put in.
2. Paint your entire jug and then take a thinner paintbrush and paint two black slits on the cap to be the snout. Let dry.
3. Glue on your button eyes and felt or foam shapes above the eyes to be the ears.
Tada! When it is time to crack that baby open, no dramatic hammer hitting necessary—just twist of the cap to get your cash. Then you can repeat the whole money saving process over again.
