Best of August: Top Things To Do in Houston with Kids
Summer is not over yet! August in Houston is a great time to enjoy outdoor movies and concerts, summer festivals, and the best beach days.
Back to school is on the horizon, and there are some awesome events this August to get back into the school spirit! The Back to School Splash Bash at Sugar Land Town Square is always a slam dunk event to attend, as is Shake Your Summer Sillies Out at The Woodlands Children's Museum. Later in the month, we highly recommend heading to Galveston for the annual AIA Sandcastle Contest; the sandcastles the artists create are out of this world and definitely a sight to be seen in person! Lastly, Kidz Bop is coming to Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at the end of the month and is sure to get the kids hyped up with catchy music and dance moves.
Find more top August fun in our roundup of 50 Free Things to Do in Houston With Kids This Summer, our Summer Fun Guide for Houston Kids, and our Ultimate Summer Bucket List. Plus, now is the time to get in a few more trips to our favorite splash pads and sprinkler parks before they close for the season!
We’re adding more events to our family activity calendar every day, so don’t forget to check it frequently.
