There are plenty of indoor batting cages near Houston that are perfect for families. In addition to providing indoor batting cages to escape the Texas heat, some of these unique spots feature full restaurants and family entertainment centers. Many offer coaching, camps, and birthday party packages as well. Grab your bat and helmet, and get ready to swing!

1. D-Bat Houston - various locations 

Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Sat 9 a.m.-6 p.m, Sun 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

D-Bat is synonymous with batting cages in Houston and has 8 locations in the area, so you are never far away from one of their facilities. In addition to indoor batting cages, D-Bat offers lessons, camps, and league options. Members enjoy free access to the batting cages, while non-members can pay per session.

2. Bellaire Bats - Bellaire

Mon-Fri 3 p.m.-9 p.m., Sat 8 a.m.-4.30 p.m, Sun closed. Other times by appointment.

Bellaire Bats offers more than just batting cage rentals. They also provide lessons and camps with major league coaches. Plus, enjoy discounts when you purchase their batting cage rental packages.

3. Blueberry Batting Cage - Northcliffe 

Mon-Fri 4 p.m.-9 p.m., Sat-Sun 12 p.m.-4 p.m

Blueberry Batting Cages has 3 token-fed automatic ball-feeding batting cages for you to practice softball and baseball. There are also other batting cages with balls and radar guns for you to see how fast your balls fly!

4. Katy Home Run Dugout - Katy 

Mon-Thurs 10 a.m.-11 p.m., Fri 10 a.m.-1 a.m., Sat 9 a.m.-1 a.m., Sun 9 a.m.-11 p.m.

This baseball/softball-themed entertainment venue features state-of-the-art batting areas with soft-toss pitching machines. Games are available in the batting bays tailored to all skill levels, and bays can be booked 2 weeks in advance for 60 or 90 minutes - think Top Golf, but for baseball. This fun venue also offers a full-service bar and restaurant, making baseball a social activity for all the family.

5. House of Hitters - Katy 

Mon-Fri 2.30 p.m.-8.30 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-4 p.m, Sun 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

This baseball venue has long batting tunnels 70 feet in length by 12 feet wide and short batting tunnels 50 feet in length by 14 feet wide. There is also 7,500 square feet of indoor all-sports turf for practicing team sports.

6. The Academy - Northside

Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-9 p.m, Sun 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

At The Academy you can book cages for either softball or baseball in 30-minute increments up to 2 hours. Regular hitters can sign up for one of a variety of monthly plans for cheaper rentals.

7. Hit! Indoor Training Center - Spring Branch Memorial

Mon-Thurs 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Fri 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Sat-Sun 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

This youth-focused facility features both indoor and outdoor batting cages, suitable for manual or machine pitching. Larger cages are available for baseball and softball pitching practice, and there is a spacious outdoor area for multi-sport or field use. Cages can be booked for 30 or 60 minutes, and the facility also includes an on-site fitness center.

8. US Golf and Games - South Belt/Ellington 

Mon-Thurs 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.-12 a.m., Sun 12 p.m.-10 p.m.

Golf and Games is a climate-controlled indoor family fun center, open every day of the year. For nearly 40 years, it has provided a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility for classic fun. As well as batting cages, activities include mini golf, arcade games, pool tables, and a covered, all-weather go-kart track. Unlike most places that charge by the hour, this venue charges just $1 per 12 pitches, allowing you to play for as long or as short a time as you like.

9. Point 4 Baseball - Stafford 

Mon-Sun 24 hours

This batting cage facility is for the serious baseballer who wants state-of-the-art batting cages and is comfortable using them without any help. You can collect all the data from your session to improve your swing.

10. Cajun Cages - Pearland 

Mon-Fri 2 p.m.-9 p.m., Sat closed, Sun 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

In addition to batting cage rentals, the facility offers a wide range of camps, including specialized training for catchers, pitchers, and batters. Frequent players can take advantage of significant discounts with family memberships.

11. The Club - Baseball & Softball - Braeswood Place

Mon-Fri 1 p.m.-9 p.m., Sat and Sun 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Club offers monthly memberships for baseball and softball training that focuses on hitting, throwing, and other sport-specific skills. This training center offers small group coaching, private coaching, and allows members to book the batting cages for their own sessions. They also offer camps and birthday party packages.
