From Solar Eclipse events to Earth Day Celebrations and beyond, April is packed with affordable and free things to do with kids, indoors and outside. Don’t miss our favorite free and fun things to do in Houston with kids this month.

What's better than fun things to do with kids? Free things to do with kids! Luckily, Houston's favorite annual events are this month, like the Houston Art Car Parade and Festival, the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival, and the Hermann Park Kite Festival, and many of these are super affordable if not totally free for families. 

Speaking of Hermann Park, the much-anticipated opening of the newly renovated 26-acre park featuring a lively carousel, a towering rocket ship slide, interactive play areas inspired by nature, beautiful garden spaces, and more open with a Public Celebration.
