Houston Repertoire Ballet Welcomes Houston Ballet’s Finest for 2025 Celebration of Dance

Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB), Houston’s premier pre-professional ballet company, celebrates its 29th season with Celebration of Dance 2025.
Classic storybook characters jump from the page onto the stage in Storybook Fantasy, a ballet guaranteed to delight HRB’s youngest audience members. Two new contemporary works will be premiered including, Gray Matter, a new energetic modern dance work by JoDee Engle, and a moving contemporary ballet piece en pointe choreographed by Kristy Nilsson accompanied by a live string quartet to Samuel Barber’s dramatic Adagio for Strings. The finale, Paquita, is a classical and exciting ballet, featuring guest artists, Yuriko Kajiya and Connor Walsh, Houston Ballet’s finest in a performance sure to bring the audience to their toes!
Major funding provided by: Ballet Center of Houston, Air Innovations LLC, James Avery Jewelers, and Texas Commission on the Arts. Additional season sponsors include: Dance Trends, Dave Metcalfe Photography, DeHart Properties, Pediatrix Primary+Urgent Care of Texas, Open Door Pediatric Therapy, Gullick Orthodontics, H&H Music and Fishburn Violin Shop, and Ask for Energy Solutions.
