Mommy Poppins has lots of ways for Connecticut families to stay cool in August! Put on some roller-skates and head on down to Skateport to groove out to the music and feel the wind in your hair. For train lovers, there are Summer Trolley Rides & Museum Tours in East Haven or grab your tickets (while you can!) for the Ice Cream Train at the Naugatuck Valley Railroad. Kids who love inflatables still have the whole month of August to bounce around at FUNBOX Inflatable Playground in Enfield and at Big Bounce America 2024 at Rentschler Field. 

And of course, every family should attend Summer festivals and fairs in Connecticut where you can find food and fun for everyone.
