Board Game Cafe Sip N' Play Opens in Brooklyn
Park Slope's bustling Fifth Avenue welcomes another cafe to the area, and this one is distinctly different from our other favorite neighborhood eateries thanks to its extensive selection of board games. Sip N' Play, which opened January 2, brings a new board game cafe to this corner of Brooklyn.
So grab your favorite pint-sized foe and read on for all the details on this new addition to the city's board game cafe landscape.
Sip N' Play welcomes board game enthusiasts of all ages to grab a snack and a table and hunker down for some good old-fashioned fun. The only board game cafe in the area, Sip N' Play features large tables with plenty of room to spread out and charges reasonable rates. Game sessions start at $5 per person for three hours and $10 per person for an unlimited session.
You might have a hard time agreeing on a game with so many selections to consider.
The current collection, which will grow, consists of more than 200 board games. Though the library includes lots of strategy games (like Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne), there are also plenty of kid-pleasing classics, including The Game of Life, Clue, and Pictionary. Little gamers can appreciate choices like Operation and Zingo. An updated list of titles is posted online. If you can't find one you're excited about there, you're welcome to bring games from home.
Super friendly staff members are on hand to assist anyone who needs a little help figuring out some of the more complicated rules.
