Indoor Party Spots with Mega Play Spaces for LI Kids
Throwing a birthday party is hard work. We all want our kids to feel special on their birthday, but feeding, entertaining, and mingling among your kid's adoring fans (and their parents) can seem like a job. Choosing a birthday party venue—as opposed to your home—can save you a whole a lot of stress, and you don't have to worry about cake on your carpets. In these indoor party spots, kids can run free in a safe environment, while parents mingle. Not to mention someone else does all the cleanup. Added bonus: You never have to worry about the weather with one of these mega indoor play spaces.
Thrill to the coaster ride at @Play Amusements in Farmingdale.
@Play Amusements — Farmingdale
The main attraction at this indoor amusement center might be the multilevel adventure maze. Or is it the bumper cars? Perhaps it’s the Himalaya roller coaster or the Ultimate Arcade? Whatever it is, there are plenty of features to entertain a group of energetic kids. @Play Amusements offers three birthday packages to choose from, or you can customize your own party.
Active Kidz Long Island – Jericho
With everything from laser tag to a ninja warrior course and inflatables and even a four-level adventure maze, this venue has seemingly everything for active kids. The newest attraction is the Virtual Game Galaxy, where players can move, dance, and jump around while special effects create a virtual experience. Party packages include a private room, 90 minutes in the maze and inflatable fun zone, and the Cannonball or glow-in-the-dark dance.
BounceU – Farmingdale, Oceanside, Smithtown
BounceU specializes in birthday parties, so planning one here is hassle-free. Guests can enjoy bouncing in two private areas with giant inflatable slides, multilevel climbers, games, and foam ball cannons. Make the party extra special with add-ons such as glow-in-the-dark Cosmic Bounce, Bubble Bounce, or a themed party with your favorite character.
Karts Indoor Raceway – Ronkonkoma
Does your child like going fast? Karts Indoor Raceway satisfies the need for speed with kart racing. Kids as young as five can enjoy racing, but that’s not all this party spot offers. There’s also a laser tag arena, arcades, roller bowling, and the newest attraction, The Launch laser maze. Players must avoid the laser beams and try to get to the other side safely. Choose from four birthday party packages; all packages include a private party room, kart racing, unlimited roller bowling, one game of The Launch, and a make-your-own sundae.
Kzam Next Generation Party Centers — Farmingdale
The play structure at Kzam is three stories high and filled with thousands of foam balls. Kids can blast the balls out of cannons from all three levels. A “volcano” also spews balls, and a giant tipping basket drops even more balls down onto party-goers. Parties include a Kzam event room outfitted with a DJ, music, lights and a master of ceremonies who runs games and activities.
Laser Bounce - Levittown
Kids can jump, battle, and mash buttons at Laser Bounce. The Ballocity Arena is a multilevel play structure with cannons, vacuums, and buckets that shoot out foam balls onto its victims. Guests can keep the battle going in a game of laser tag, or verse each other in some classic arcade games to rack up some tickets. Inflatables and a laser maze with spy-style obstacles round out this party venue.
Monsters lurk around every corner of the glow-in-the-dark course at Monster Mini Golf.
Monster Mini Golf – Deer Park
Imagine playing mini-golf on a glow-in-the-dark course with animated monsters around every turn. That’s what Monster Mini Golf is all about, and it definitely delivers on the wow factor for first-time visitors. Eighteen holes are lit using black lights. There’s also an arcade with a prize center to cash in all of those tickets. Party packages include a round of mini-golf, arcade game card for each guest, and a private party room.
Safari Adventure — Riverhead
This party venue has a four-level soft play structure where kids can pretend they’re on an African safari. Kids can climb their way up "Kilimanjaro" through cargo nets, bridges, a huge hippo, and a Jeep. There’s also an inflatable obstacle course, disco dance bouncer, a 3-and-under area, and more than 30 arcade games. In addition, there is a sensory calming area and a hands-on activities area for quieter play.
