1. Sports Center of Connecticut - Shelton

This ultimate recreation place to spend an entire family day out opens at 9:30am daily. Enjoy 18 holes on a nature themed course. Bad weather? Don’t worry! Sports Center will even provide ponchos on a rainy day. Definitely join the free frequent mini golf club to earn a free round of mini golf. Weekend reservations are available online, which is great for larger parties. Besides mini golf, Sports Center offers batting cages, laser tag, bowling, a video arcade, paintball, and more. Basically, you can stay all day for a family-friendly outing. Want to continue golfing? Hit the Top Tracer range for a different golf experience. For a post golfing treat, stop by Donut Crazy, directly across the street.

2. Olde Sawmill Miniature Golf - Oxford

Olde Sawmill is owned and operated by the Turcott Family, who take a lot of pride in maintaining a course for all to enjoy. The 16th hole is special: it has a replica sawmill as a nod to the town of Oxford. The course is open at 11am daily, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday. Cold drinks and chips are available at the course. Better yet, head next door to the Turcott Family’s restaurant for burgers, hot dogs, or fried fish. It's cash only; if you forget, there’s a nearby ATM. 

3. Mini Golf at Saybrook Point - Old Saybrook

Admire views of the Connecticut River while putting a round of 18 holes. Don’t worry, there is a fence around the course so your ball and child stay nearby. Saybrook Point offers a classic New England course vibe with houses, a police station, a church, and more. This course is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily during the summer months, with lights for night golfing. A concession stand offers drinks, snacks, candy, and ice cream. Get a discount for children on Mondays from 11am to 4pm.

4. Cooper Creek Mini Golf - Oakdale 

This is a course designed to challenge children and adults. This course is only available for children 6 years old and up, but intended for ages 8 years old and up. Infants are not even allowed to watch for safety reasons. Adjacent to the famous Dinosaur Place, Cooper Creek entertains with an old west mining town themed course. Open daily for the season, starting at 11am. Be sure to check out Dinosaur Place and A to Z Mineral Shop at the Nature’s Art Village after your round. Turn it into a weekend by staying in Mystic which is only 20 minutes away. Check out Mystic, Connecticut with kids for more getaway suggestions. 

5. Knolls & Holes Miniature Golf Course - Bozrah

With nearly endless activities, Odetah’s camping resort is truly unique. As is Knolls & Holes Miniature Golf, a public course even though it is located at a resort. It feels like a mini PGA tournament course with sand traps, water challenges, and contours. Hungry after your intense round? Head over to The Oasis Lakeside Cafe for a meal or Scoop Shack for their famous trail mixer shake. Scoop Shack is at the end of the course. Besides miniature golf, Odetah’s camping resort has boating, tennis, basketball, fishing, and more—if you want to make more of the adventure. 

6. Ocean Beach Park - New London

Enjoy some of Connecticut's best mini golf right by the “finest sugar sand beach”. An ode to New London, the course has obstacles like the Old Mill and the Bridge. Of course, the Whale is the star, honoring New London's whaling past. Monday nights are reduced—only $2 per person, per round. After golf, try out the arcade and amusement park, or get wet in a kiddie spray park (under 8 years old). There is a parking charge for admission which includes the entire park. 7. Great Brook Sports - Groton

Look out for the koi pond on this mini golf course! One huge perk at this Groton course is free admission for kids under 4. All the classic obstacles like hills and waterfalls to entertain. In addition to mini golf, Great Brook Sports offers a batting cage, driving range, and virtual golf simulators. It's open daily, starting at 9am.

Best Mini Golf in CT - Hartford County

8. Riverfront Miniature Golf and Ice Cream - Unionville

With a par of 48, Riverfront Miniature Golf is a serious mini golf course. Bricks, water traps, streams to jump over... the course has so many fun obstacles, making for a great family-friendly round. Overlooking the Farmington River, the course is open daily from 10 am to 10pm. Remind the family to save those scorecards; after 10 games, you get one free. Don’t leave without having hard ice cream or yogurt after 18 holes!

9. Matterhorn Mini Golf - Canton

This is a super-fun course filled with entertainment and Instagrammable photos on every hole. There's a unique Swiss-themed course, filled with facts about cheese and chocolate. Look out for locally painted goats throughout the course too. What is not to love about Matterhorn mini golf? You can even play all day for $20! Keep the theme going by indulging in a Swiss swirl ice cream with flavors like creamsicle, cotton candy, and chocolate. Come back in September to watch the best mini golf pros compete in the International Pro-Am Tournament—or register yourself! 

10. Dinger's Mini Golf - Southington

Newly opened, the former Golf Quest has been completely renovated and renamed Dinger’s. The owner, Chris Cote, pulled out all the best during renovation, like an Augusta putting surface. Choose from an amazing golf ball selection (Pokemon, sport balls, the globe, and more!) for your round. There is even a bonus 19th hole. Enjoy Friday’s night golfing with food trucks as a dinner option. Come on Monday’s for $6 unlimited golf, starting at noon and running until 5pm.

11. Hidden Valley Miniature Golf - Southington

With multiple koi ponds, several waterfalls, a gristmill, and cave, Hidden Valley was designed by well-known mini golf course creator, Dave Sherwood. There is even a kids’ area with a 50-foot wooden train, pirate ship and shaded picnic spot! The wooden decor and beautiful backdrops provide many family photo opportunities. Play endless rounds from Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm, for only $6 (excludes holidays). After a round or two, head to the Waterfront Grille for a post game, family-friendly lunch or dinner. You can’t go wrong with the fried dough or lobster roll. If you still want to hang out, try the newly opened beer garden, Hops on West, before heading home. 

12. Golf Quest - Brookfield

Enjoy a round at Golf Quest in Brookfield. Open daily at 9am, Golf Quest offers a newly renovated driving range with Top Tracer technology. Besides virtual golf and practice shots, Top Tracer has games like “Go Fish” for a more family-friendly virtual game. Collect all different animals at the aquarium for points. enjoy watching everyone take a turn in the heated and furnished play spaces.

13. Fairway Dairy Cream - South Windsor

This traditional mini golf course has a bonus hole where you can win a free game. Enjoy fun obstacles like a ferris wheel, rocket ship, lighthouse, and a mouse trap (to name a few). Fairway Dairy Cream has all the nostalgic vibes of summer, batting cages, and ice cream stand. Fairway is open daily, starting at 11am. 

14. Safari Golf - Berlin

Zoo meets mini golf in an awesome way at Safari Golf, basically a kid’s dream. The 2022 Connecticut Magazine’s winner for #1 rated Miniature Golf Course, Safari Golf lets kids find their favorite animals throughout the course. Summer hours through early September run from 10am until 9pm. Safari Golf remains open in spring and fall, weather permitting. Get a hole in one on the 18th for a free game!

15. Putter's Paradise Mini Golf - Berlin

Not just one mini golf course, but two. Pick between a round on a traditional course with lighthouses and windmills or a challenging one to test your mini golfer skills. Or do both! Putter’s Paradise Mini Golf is located in the Berlin Batting Cages, where you can continue a family day out with batting cages, bumper boats, and go karts. Prepare by bringing a change of clothes for getting wet or sweating from fun. 

16. Hogan's Cider Mill - Burlington

Making cider since 1912, Hogan’s is a CT must for family day trips. Kids can drink apple slushies or frozen lemonade with apple cider donuts before (or after) taking the tee. Purchase a round at the Mill Shop counter (with the option to buy a souvenir golf ball) and then take the course. Choose between traditional and silly putters on the first hole. Take advantage of free mini golf Fridays with the purchase of any drink. Hours vary, so check their website before coming. 

17. Nomad's Adventure Quest - South Windsor

We’ve found your indoor mini golf option for a rainy day! Nomad’s Adventure Quest is a bucket-list attraction with over 65,000 square feet of entertainment. The stone age-themed course (yes, cavemen and dinosaurs) has a glow in the dark environment courtesy of black-lighting. Closed shoes are required. The lighting and features may not suit younger children, but there are plenty of other options at Nomad’s Adventure Quest, like duckpin bowling, an arcade, bumper cars, and a rock climbing wall. Grab a quest card to play and earn points.

18. Cove Marina Mini Golf - Norwalk

Overlook the Long Island Sound and Norwalk marina while playing at the Cove Marina mini golf. This course has been adored by locals for over 50 years, with contours and  sand traps. Open daily from 10 am - 10pm and located at Calf Pasture Beach. Grab a bite post golf at The Gallery Waterfront Cafe, offering breakfast and lunch options. 

19. The Cave - Bethel 

Formerly Monster Mini Golf, The Cave is bringing indoor fun back to Bethel. With a complete glow in the dark environment, The Cave’s mini golf has animated creatures and intense graphics. The staff provides amusement, such as trivia, dancing, and whatever they can think to do next. Be warned—miniature golf and laser tag might be too spooky for some children. The Cave’s other attractions include a high rope course, laser tag, and arcade.
