Three New Jersey railroads offer exciting opportunities to meet Peter Cottontail while riding the rails—a perfect activity for your train-loving kid. The Easter Bunny Express – Flemington

Departing from the Flemington Station, Black River & Western Railroad's Easter Bunny Express includes a visit from the Bunny of the Hour, who will visit with each child and pose for pictures, while the Bunny's helpers give out goodies and read a story. The 25-minute (each way) train ride stops at Ringoes, where you can browse in the gift shop and visit the railroad museum car. Get tickets.

The Cottontail Limited – Ringoes
New for 2018, Black River & Western Railroad presents the Cottontail Limited. This ride departs from Ringoes and takes travelers to the Bowne station for an Easter egg hunt. Everyone can meet the Bunny and take a photo, and the Bunny's helpers will give out treats and read a story on the train. Get tickets.
Easter Bunny Train Ride and Egg Hunt – Phillipsburg

Take the Easter Bunny train ride of a lifetime with the Delaware River Railroad Excursions. You and your family will enjoy scenic views as you choo-choo along the river to Carpentersville. Upon arrival, everyone is welcome to take pictures with the E.B. and participate in an Easter egg hunt (four per child). The ride also features a banjo playing hobo and a juggler. Get tickets.

Easter Bunny Express at Whippany Railway Museum – Whippany

Celebrate the return of the Easter Bunny on this 45-minute, spring-themed train ride along the Morris & Erie Railway's historic Whippanong Trail. Be sure to bring your camera to snap some shots of this scenic ride and to capture your child’s visit with the Bunny and the train’s friendly crew. After the ride you can tour the museum site, which features historic railroad locomotives, model train layouts, and more. Advance tickets are available online, and any remaining are sold on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the ride. Get tickets.
