Looking for the best things to do in New York City this Labor Day weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for the holiday weekend.

Summer takes one last victory lap this weekend, and the Labor Day holiday means you have three vacation days to tick off some more boxes on our end-of-summer checklist. It's your last chance to see Creatures of Light at the American Museum of Natural History and your first chance to launch your kids into space (in their imaginations, of course) at CAMP's new cosmic installation. Toy Con returns to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Queens kids can attend back-to-school fests on Saturday and Sunday, and the Richmond County Fair punctuates the changing seasons with just the right blend of nostalgia and cotton candy. Unicycles are rolling around town, music by the Beach Boys provides the perfect weekend soundtrack, and—believe it or not—there are still free outdoor movies to be seen!

Read on for all of our Labor Day weekend picks. You'll find additional suggestions in our Activity Calendar and this list of the best things to do in September. So long, summer!
