Moms' Night Out with Mommy Poppins and Scribble Press

As you may know, we are featuring the Upper West Side on Mommy Poppins this month, writing about fun things to do, cool toy stores and places to eat, stay and play.
As part of our Upper West Side focus, we're hosting a Moms' Night Out with one of our favorite family spots in the neighborhood, Scribble Press, and it's a wonderful chance to take care of your holiday card and gift making.
OUR LATEST VIDEOS
Scribble Press is a great place to take your kids to create books, cards and other artistic projects. At our event, we grown-ups will have a chance to do the fun stuff and get a jump on our holiday preparations, while enjoying some wine and cheese, and the company of other moms. Invite a friend or meet new ones.
All you need to bring is your artwork, photos and creativity; the fantastic folks at Scribble Press, plus talented stationery designer Kari Jo Cates from CityWrites, will be on hand to help give inspiration, tips and assistance. Make:
- Holiday cards
- Custom books out of your children's artwork
- Custom photo or art calendars
- Planners
- Lunch boxes
- Stationery
-
and more
Our Scribble Press Moms' Night Out event takes place on Thursday, November 17, 6-8pm. See the invitation for more information and to RSVP. It's free to attend; everyone pays for the projects they buy (most range from $10 to $29) and 15% of the proceeds will be donated to help buy violins for nearby P.S. 212.
Space is limited so please RSVP for our Moms' Night Out if you would like to join us for a fun and creative evening of holiday gift making. I look forward to seeing you there!

About the Author

Founder of Mommy Poppins
A fourth-generation Brooklynite, Anna started Mommy Poppins in 2007 to help families find the best things to do with kids in NYC, with a particular emphasis on sharing activities that are free, affordable, and enriching. The site, used by millions of families, has grown to become the ultimate resource for parents in the major US cities, plus travel guides for 100s of destinations.
Anna is a believer in the magic of summer camps, traveling with kids, and that you can raise kids on a budget and still have a rich life full of amazing memories. Anna's first Mommy Poppins book, The Young Traveler's Journal and Activity Book, published in 2025 and co-written with her daughter, Amelia Eigerman, brings that ethos to life, in addition to this website.
