The Norwalk Boat Show starts September 22 and runs through the 25th. It sounds like a really fun weekend in the Norwalk Cove Marina for water and boating enthusiasts. Things to do with the kids at the Norwalk Boat Show:

Meet 17 year old Ammy Sunderland, the youngest solo sailor ever to attempt to circumnavigate the globe. We all heard her story last year when her boat capsized in the Indian Ocean 12,500 miles into her journey and she was presumed lost-at-sea for two anxious days. She'll be on hand at the festival sharing her new book Unsinkable.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the stories of Blackbear the Pirate, read by the book’s author Steve Buckley. Steve will also be signing books. In addition, kids can enjoy coloring activities and pirate hat crafts.

Let your little ones get creative! Toy Boat Building gives your child a chance to build a nautical masterpiece— a one-of-a-kind vessel using pieces of wood, a little glue, and a lot of imagination. It's courtesy of Mystic Seaport, a museum that strives to inspire an enduring connection to the American maritime experience.

Special Kids' Cove where the fun activities include kids' slide, Bounce House, and Sand Art.

Fun on the water—just for kids! Kids can splash around and navigate a mini lake in their own paddleboat.

Straight from Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob SquarePants' best friend Patrick will visit the Norwalk Boat Show on Saturday & Sunday, September 24 & 25 from 11am–3pm. Don't miss your chance to meet & greet the lovable guy and snap a picture!
