Top Things To Do with Your Infant in Westchester and the Hudson Valley

1. First trip to the library

One of the most precious resources for both parents and children in the baby and early childhood years is the library. Most libraries host mommy-and-me storytimes and baby classes. They are a wonderful way to meet other moms in your area, socialize your baby, and start instilling an early love for literacy! Check out the schedule at your local library and enjoy a class!

2. First storytimes at an area bookstore

On top of story time classes at the library, you can find story times at your local bookstores. These places often sell coffee and pastries, have comfy seating, and have tons of unique baby toys to peruse, making it a welcoming atmosphere for mommy and baby. A few of our favorites are Oblong Books in Rhinebeck and Millerton, The Golden Notebook in Woodstock, Merritt Toy store in Millbrook, Inquiring Minds in New Paltz, and Sleep Hollow Bookshop. Check out our post on free storytimes in Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
