Wilken’s Fruit and Fir Farm - Yorktown Heights
1335 White Hill Road
(914) 245-5111
To put it simply, the freshly made doughnuts at Wilken’s Farm are just what you want in an apple cider doughnut. They are fried to an even golden brown and served with a dusting of cinnamon sugar, although you can also request them plain if you want. Kids can kill time while waiting in line for their treats by watching the doughnut machine, which is in full view at work.

Stuart’s Farm – Granite Springs
62 Granite Springs Road
(914) 245-2784
There’s no better way to end your day of apple picking and hay riding than with a host of warm apple cider doughnuts from the bakery at Stuart’s Farm. Word on the street is that they make a killer pie too!

Thompson’s Cider Mill and Orchard – Croton-on-Hudson
335 Blinn Road
(914) 271-2254
While the big draw to Thompson’s Cider Mill is well, the cider (the freshly pressed cider can contain anywhere from seven to 30 different varieties of apples, depending upon when you buy it), the cinnamon sugar-dusted doughnuts are a pretty tasty reason to visit as well.

Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard - North Salem
130 Hardscrabble Road
(914) 485-1210
You’ll know the minute Harvest Moon has kicked its old-fashioned doughnut making into action because of the delicious smell that immediately wafts through the air—not to mention the line that immediately forms to purchase them. The hardest part will be deciding between sugar, cinnamon sugar and plain … and, of course, stopping yourself from eating too many!

Stew Leonard’s – Yonkers
1 Stew Leonard Drive
(914) 375-4700
What Stew Leonard’s lacks in the “orchardy ambiance” department they make up for in doughnut deliciousness! Its glorious versions are made right in front of you, and it would take a strong person indeed to walk away without devouring an entire package in the aisle.

Acorn Farm & Garden Center – Harrison
470 Mamaroneck Avenue
(914) 698-7846
Acorn Farm and Garden Center sells a little bit of everything: Amish-crafted wood products, jams, crafts … and irresistible homemade doughnuts. Its doughnuts are only offered for sale on Saturdays and Sundays, so make sure you stock up on enough to last you through the week!
