1. Lincoln Indoor Pool - Philadelphia
One of Philadelphia's public indoor swimming pools, Lincoln Indoor Pool has open swim times, as well as lessons and swim team. Open year round, the pool is located near the Abraham Lincoln High School and is free to the public.
2. Germantown Life Enrichment Center - Philadelphia
The facility at the Germantown Life Enrichment Center includes a deep-water indoor pool that is available for open swim, as well as lessons and swim team. Add to that the kids fun zone and game room, and the GLEC becomes a great option for families at a very reasonable cost. Memberships start at $12/month for youths up to $60/month for families.

3. Fitness Alive - Philadelphia
Fitness Alive in South Philly and Center City offers monthly family open swim nights, either on the first Friday or first Saturday of the month. Pre-registration isn't required but is strongly encouraged to guarantee a spot. Plus there's a discount for early registration - The cost is just $10/child and adults swim free (otherwise, you can pay at the door but entry for adults is $5 each).
4. The Salvation Army Kroc Center - Camden, NJ
For families looking for indoor water park fun but with a local swimming pool vibe, the Camden Kroc Center is the perfect place to take a dip. The indoor pool boasts some cool water features that kids will love to play on, as well as open lane swim times. The monthly cost for a membership to the Kroc Center, which includes access to the rest of the facility, is about $40/month for a family of four with variations in pricing for Camden residents, students, seniors, larger families, etc. Check the website for pool hours and membership information.
5. Pickett School Indoor Pool - Philadelphia
Another public pool run by the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Pickett School Indoor Pool, located near the Wissahickon Valley Park, is free of charge and open to the public.
6. YMCA - Various
There are many YMCA locations in Philadelphia and the Greater Brandywine Valley that offer memberships starting at $27/month for children to $90+/month for families. Indoor swimming pools vary by location, including recreation and lap swim pools, water features, and swim lessons available at an extra cost.
Note: There are four public swimming pools in Philadelphia, including two on our list (Lincoln Indoor Pool and Pickett School); however, the Carousel House pool and programming are geared towards serving those in the community with disabilities, and the indoor swimming pool located at the Sayre Morris Recreation Center& is temporarily closed and will reopen in 2021.
