If you’re hoping for a truly luxurious experience this Mother’s Day, you can’t go wrong with brunch at Avenue. This top-rated restaurant boasts stunning décor, beautiful ocean views, and an exquisite French-influenced menu with brunch service from 9am to 4pm. Start with hors d’oeuvres like smoked salmon or baked beets, then move onto a decadent main course including a ham and gruyere-stuffed three-egg omelet, french toast with mixed berries (and a sea salt butter - savory and sweet perfection), and steak frites. Leave room for a scrumptious dessert—profiteroles and pot de crème are among the choices—and if you’re feeling especially relaxed, make an exception for one of their signature Mother’s Day sips.
Blend on Main – Manasquan
There are buffets and then there are ones they call “grand.” And that’s exactly what will be happening from 10am through 4:30pm at this Main Street mainstay in Manasquan—the Mother’s Day Grand Buffet. Bring your appetite (and maybe even a pair of stretchy pants for the ride home), because the spread includes a smorgasbord of starters, a chef-attended omelet station, and usual breakfast bites until 1pm (when the action station switches to pasta preparations and Asian stir fry, and Italian sausage and peppers replace the morning munchables), and a mouthwatering variety of seafood, chicken, and roasted proteins available all day. Don’t forget your happy ending, either, whether it’s chocolate mousse or petits fours. Gluten-free options available.
