Days are getting shorter and the chaos of the holidays is beginning to descend upon everyone.  Make the most of the daylight hours and take in a great production, museum tour or even a nature walk.  There’s something for everyone this weekend so get out there and enjoy some quality family time!

Looking to start the holiday season with a show?  How about one that combines both the characters from The Wizard of Oz and Christmas?  Christmas in Oz opens this weekend and will continue on Saturday afternoons through December 18th.

If your children dressed up like their favorite Toy Story characters for Halloween, this event is for your family!  Disney on Ice featuring the Toy Story gang arrived on Long Island this week but will be headed to infinity and beyond before you know it, so get your tickets!

Gather your mateys and help Dora and Boots travel to Treasure Island on the final weekend performance.  With the audience’s help, they will navigate their way to find the hidden treasure.  Children will utilize map-reading, counting and language skills in this fun-filled performance.

This is a great opportunity for the entire family to experience the exhibits at the museum.  There are family-friendly gallery talks and tours followed by an art project for the youngsters.

Here’s a great opportunity to teach your young scientists about those creatures that creep out just when kids are headed to bed! Children and their families are introduced to various creatures of the night.  There is a walking tour to explore where these animals sleep during daylight hours and participants have the opportunity to make a craft.  Advance reservations are required.
