All-inclusive resorts are a fun and convenient way to travel as a family. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, the food and drinks flow freely, and you don't even need to reach into your wallet while you're there! But while all-inclusive resorts can be expensive, there are some great affordable options.
Here are nine of the best inexpensive all-inclusive resorts for families in Mexico and the Caribbean. We also included a US option for those who don't want to leave the country. These fun spots feature awesome kids' clubs, great pools and/or beaches, lots of fun activities, and plenty of food and drinks.

Note: We found some great deals for all-inclusive resort in Mexico & Caribbean ranging from under $3,000 to around $4,000 per week for a family of four. We only included resorts we have personally been to or that are highly reviewed.

1. Finest Punta Cana — Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
This gorgeous resort combines luxury and family fun without the exorbitant prices. It features several pools, a fantastic kids club, over a dozen restaurants and food trucks, a fitness center, nightly entertainment, and a spate of family activities. Finest Punta Cana has all suites, meaning families have plenty of room to spread out. In her review of Finest Punta Cana, or travel editor wrote that the resort never felt crowded despite being at 80% capacity, and declared it to be her "new favorite resort!"
2. Sunscape Curaçao Resort — Curaçao
This family-friendly all-inclusive resort on the charming Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao flies under the radar of many. Adjoining rooms, an all-day kids club, a teen zone, pools, a gorgeous beach, sports, over a dozen on-site bars and restaurants, and nightly entertainment endear Sunscape Curaçao to families. The best part: Rates can be less than $3,000 per week for a family of four!

3. Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa — Puerto Morelos, Mexico
Endless beachside activities for kids, adjoining rooms, multiple pools, and attentive staff help this all-inclusive resort on Mexico's Caribbean coast rack up glowing reviews from families. A kids club with an indoor romper room, plunge pools, and delicious food help, too. It's a short drive from the Cancun airport to checking in here for some tropical R&R at an inexpensive price.
4. Paradisus Palma Real — Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Access to at least five pools, the beach, a kids club, games and other activities, and an enthusiastic band of poolside entertainers means kids will never get bored at this all-inclusive resort. Our writer's kids—none of whom were close to legal drinking age—were regular patrons at the swim-up bars, where staff served them virgin daiquiris and pina coladas. The resort features a host of top-tier restaurants and a nightly buffet. We found rates of less than $3,000 per week for a family of four in the summer—really!

5. Hotel Riu Playa Blanca — Río Hato, Panama
This modern oceanfront resort featuring a red-and-white color scheme is sleeker than you'd might expect from an all-inclusive. But it's got plenty for the family to enjoy: a beautiful beach, four pools (one just for children), a kids club, several on-site restaurants, and lots of activities. You almost wouldn't believe that rates can be less than $2,500 per week for a family of four, even in the prime winter months!
6. Coral Costa Caribe Beach Resort — San Pedro, Dominican Republic
This resort has a prime location on a white-sand beach with beautiful turquoise waters. Relax at the pool, participate in water sports and other fun activities, dine at three a la carte restaurants or the buffet, drop the little ones off at the kids club... it's all included in the price of your stay, which starts at less than $3,000 per week for a family of four. That leaves extra money for a treatment at the on-site spa or an excursion to the nearby Cave of Wonders or Colonial City.

7. Grand Residences Riviera Cancun — Puerto Morelos, Mexico
In her review of Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, our writer declared it "perfect for families who want luxurious touches and value elbow room." She praised the resort's two large pools, its beach with sapphire water, its kids club full of games and crafts, and its large variety of adult activities including cooking and mixology classes and yoga. All of the rooms are suites that accommodate three to 13 people, making this all-inclusive resort a great pick for families of all sizes.
8. Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa — Montego Bay, Jamaica
A stay at this all-inclusive resort includes the use of all amenities at the adjacent Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, including its pools, beaches, and restaurants. Golf carts can take you around the properties, or you can easily walk. There are baby and kids clubs, live music and theater, all sorts of sports from pickleball to water sports, and endless other activities. This resort can be a little pricier during peak travel times, but time your trip right and you can get a great deal!
9. Tyler Place Family Resort — Highgate Springs, Vermont
This resort on Lake Champlain, open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, describes itself as "part all-inclusive resort, part summer camp." Though it's not exactly inexpensive—rates start at around $185 per night per adult and reach as high as roughly $585 per night per adult—the money you'd save on international airfare offsets some of the cost. Plus, all meals and loads of activities are included—a pool complex, sports fields, art workshops, hiking trails, bike rentals, kayaking and canoeing, mini golf, and so much more. Kids’ camps and teen programs are held mornings and evenings, with afternoons devoted to family time.
