Thanksgiving Weekend Best Things to Do in Philly and Beyond: Parades, Tree Lightings, Snow Queen
Thanksgiving weekend is nearly upon us. Families throughout the Philly area can anticipate a few days off to reflect on all the things they are grateful for. And, while certain traditions might be modified this year, there are plenty of safe ways to celebrate.
Wake up early on Thanksgiving morn to burn calories with a fall hike at one of these great spots. Then, cuddle up on the sofa to watch 6abc/Dunkin Donuts Parade as the holidays kick into gear. Over the weekend, start holiday shopping with a visit to Christmas Village in Philadelphia or the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market. Or, drop by your local mall for socially distanced pictures with Santa. Spend family time together ice skating at Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink or Blue Cross RiverRink, building Lego creations at Holiday Bricktacular, or having brunch in an igloo with a Snow Queen. Cool, huh?
No matter how you spend your holiday weekend, the team at Mommy Poppins Philadelphia wishes you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are grateful for you!
Note the City of Philadelphia has announced a "Safer at Home" initiative continuing through January 1, 2021. Restrictions might impact events held in the city limits. Please check directly with the venue website before heading out. And keep your family and others safe by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing measures. If an event appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our event calendar to find other exciting options.
