Best Holiday and Christmas Events Near Philadelphia in 2020

When the most wonderful time of the year arrives, it helps if Philly parents are ready with ideas to celebrate with their kids. Of course, the holidays bring twinkling lights, mesmerizing train gardens, and a jolly old elf from the North Pole. But this year is unique as we adapt our traditions in the COVID era.

With that in mind, we've rounded up some of our favorite must-do events, plus some new ones, that are being held in-person and are sure to make your holidays memorable.

For additional seasonal fun, review our Philadelphia Holiday Guide, which includes our recently updated post on the best Polar Express winter train rides in the area.

While we are trying to promote safe activities that occur outdoors or with social distancing guidelines in place, keep your family and others safe by wearing a mask and maintaining appropriate distance. If you arrive at an event that appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our event calendar to find something else to do.
