New Year's Eve anticipation is building, making this weekend a perfectly festive time to continue celebrating the season with friends and families. Put on your bowling shoes and engage in a little friendly competition while enjoying a New Year's Eve Family Party, or take an Ice Sculpture Stroll along Boston Harbor.

First Night Boston 2022, a celebration of artistic performances since 1975, will provide entertainment throughout the city, including evening fireworks and a pyrotechnics show on Copley Square to welcome the new year. If, however, you'd rather have kids in deep slumber when the clock strikes midnight, take them to a Pajama New Year's Countdown at noon.
