Not all children (or parents...let's be honest) can stay awake until midnight to ring in the new year. However, there are still plenty of things to do on New Year's Eve with kids that welcome 2022 with a bang. Some of the city's most festive holiday venues are throwing kid-friendly New Year's celebrations ending well before 12am, and revelers will find activities at Philly museums, local zoos, and more. As we say goodbye to 2021, consider bidding your final farewells at one of these fun New Year's Eve events.

Several options on our list provide prime seating for the 6pm Rivers Casino New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront. Some events are ticketed so be sure to make plans before they sell out.

Note: Many venues have COVID protocols requiring masking or proof of vaccination. Please check with individual venues before arrival to ensure compliance with necessary guidelines.
