As the Delaware Valley bids the month of September a fond farewell, fall fun is gearing up for Philly families throughout the region. From festivals and cultural experiences to museums and free fun, both parents and kids are sure to enjoy making the most of this time of year.

Delicious foods that signify fall's arrival come to mind. As expected, apple and pumpkin harvests are the theme to many a festival. Plenty of area farms and orchards provide Philly kids the chance to enjoy hayrides, corn mazes, and pumpkins picking. In addition to autumn experiences, families can learn about the rich culture of Korea at Morris Arboretum, the vibrant tradition of the Puerto Rican people during the Puerto Rican Festival Parade, or the olden days at Harriton Farmstead Fair. For indoor fun, consider a visit to Hagley Museum to learn about science, the National Liberty Museum to participate in Lila Liberty's Hero Quest, or the Benjamin Franklin Museum to experience a bit of colonial history.
