Bubble Painting with Kids
Nothing says summertime fun like bubbles, but add a little color and take your bubble play to a whole new level. This simple project of bubble painting is a little bit art, a little bit science, and a whole lot of fun. Little kids love the anticipation of watching the bubbles burst into blooms of color. You can also experiment a bit with mixing colors each time you blow a new bubble. This is probably the one time my daughter was not sad that I burst her bubble!

- Bubble Wand Smocks (this project can get a bit soppy)
How to Paint with Bubbles
1) Mix the bubble solution with a couple of drops of liquid watercolors. There is no exact science to this ratio, so play around with it, until you've achieved the desired color.
2) Place a sheet of paper on the ground or table. Using your bubble wand, blow a "colored bubble", and catch it on the paper.
3) When the bubble bursts, it leaves behind a "pop" of color. Keep blowing bubbles to complete your creation.
Tip: If you don't have bubbles or a bubble wand you can make your own. Bubble solution can be made by diluting a tablespoon of dish soap in a cup of water. And you can make your own bubble wand using a pipe cleaner.
