Nature Camps in Fairfield County, Connecticut

1/7/17 - By Katie McKnight

It’s here…camp sign up time.  Personally, I love having the kids outdoors all summer, so I tend towards athletic camps and nature camps.  Here are a few nature camps, some of which we’ve tried before, and some of which we’re looking forward to trying in the future.

Unquowa School, Fairfield, CT
If your child is interested in farming, there is no better camp to investigate than Easton’s Unquowa School. Older campers (those entering grades 1-6) spend time at Sport Hill Farm where they will learn about organic farming methods such as irrigation, harvesting, and fertilizing. Younger campers (pre-K through Kindergarten) have half days focused on a combination of science and art.
