Easter Egg Hunts for New York City Kids in 2021

Easter Sunday is April 4 this year—just a hop, skip, and a jump away—and one of the best ways to celebrate with kids is to attend one of NYC's treat-filled Easter egg hunts, which are making a triumphant return after skipping 2020. Most are outdoors in playgrounds and parks, and a few even offer additional spring fun, like Easter Bunny photo-ops. With Easter egg hunts more limited than in years past, we've also included a few egg-stra Easter-themed events as a bonus.

Remember, Easter egg hunts in NYC are extremely popular, so book your tickets soon or arrive early, and be prepared to walk away if it feels uncomfortably crowded. If you dislike crowds, avoid the FREE hunts and opt for those that carry a small fee as they usually cap the number of participants.

If you're staying in, we've got tons of ideas for Easter crafts and creative egg-dying techniques, plus 30+ ideas for staging an egg hunt at home

Editor's note: While we are trying to promote safer activities that occur outdoors or with social distancing guidelines in place, please keep your family and others safe by always wearing a mask and maintaining an appropriate distance.
