Woof! PAW Patrol Live Coming to Houston
Pups! PAW Patrol is headed to the stage for a live national tour hitting 90 U.S. cities, including Houston, and tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, May 22, 2017. The hit Nickelodeon animated show featuring a pack of curious and adventure-loving dogs opens in November.
PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue, a Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group (the same folks behind Sesame Street Live) co-production, will rely on live actors in costumes, although producers tell us that it will also incorporate the popular Bunraku puppet styling. The “pups” will sing and dance on all four legs.
Read on for more details on this new brand-new children’s theater production.

All your preschooler’s favorite PAW Patrol characters—Chase, Ryder, Skye, Marshall, and the rest of the gang—will appear onstage for the day of the “Great Race.” Adventure Bay’s mayor is missing, so the pups are summoned to find her and save the day, of course! Kids will watch as each pup displays their unique skills, but also relies on teamwork as they set off on their adventure and race.
Expect plenty of sing-alongs and audience participation. Kids will follow along, helping the pups crack the case by picking up clues along the way. Video backdrops will showcase locales familiar to the TV show fans, including Main Street in Adventure Bay, the Lookout, and Farmer Yumi’s farm.
The show runs 75 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. It’s targeted at ages 1-6, making it perfect for those with young kids of multiple ages (read: my preschooler and toddler). All kids age 1 and up will require a ticket, but be aware that some individual theaters require tickets for everyone, even babies. It hits the Hobby Center from November 9-12.
Special VIP packages are available for post-show meet and greets.
