Things to do with families in Boston this weekend

It's wonderful how the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has inspired people around the world to help others. What better way to honor his legacy then with community service on MLK Day? Families have their pick of celebrations and volunteer opportunities in Cambridge and even at the Gardner Museum. The MFA is offering free admission as well as films, performances, and art-making, and there are tribute concerts at Faneuil Hall, the JFK Library, and in Somerville. Rounding out the weekend, we've got a special MLK birthday party, the annual Joyful Noise concert, and a poignant story time with Wee the People.
