Looking for the best things to do in Miami and South Florida this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your weekend list!

It’s Earth Day weekend in Miami, and what better way to celebrate than by getting outdoors to enjoy all South Florida has to offer kids and families.

Head to Miami Beach Botanical Garden for a day of family activities, or visit the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and engage with museum educators and community partners. The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center hosts a weekend of Earth Day activities, culminating in the biannual National Water Dance at Crandon Beach Park to celebrate the nation’s waterways.

Elsewhere, young kids can learn the lessons of ecology on stage with "The Adventures of the Three Mess-keteers" at Sunrise Civic Center. Young running enthusiasts can take part in the Palm Beaches Spartan Event and families can be entertained at the Miami-Dade CountryFest.

These are just some of our favorite activities for the weekend. Read on for some more great things to do with kids in Miami and South Florida.

As always, if you have an event you think we should check out, feel free to e-mail us. Don't forget to bookmark this page and share with a friend.
