Inclusive Playground in Rockville Centre Welcomes Kids of All Abilities
An inclusive playground in the bucolic South Shore village of Rockville Centre has opened and welcomes families and children of all abilities. The space aims to create a safe and engaging environment where every child can play and explore together.
With all of the ways to climb, spin, roll, and run in this massive outdoor play space, Mr. B’s All-Inclusive Playground is sure to be a hit with kids.
Read on for our review, and see our guide to Long Island parks and playgrounds for more outdoor inspiration. Of course, if you want to head to an indoor play space, we have you covered as well.

Located adjacent to the Rockville Centre Recreation Center and inside Veterans Park, Mr. B’s All-Inclusive Playground is equipped with a variety of features specifically designed to cater to a wide range of needs. We found the space to be bright and welcoming, as well as full of diverse opportunities for fun.
A large sensory dome anchors the playground areas with spider-webbed rope climbers, seated play space areas, and several sensory-rich panels. Ramps also allow wheelchair access to the various activities. The bouncy rubber floor surface caters to both wheelchair and stroller use.
There are also inclusive and adaptive swings, slides, and lots of spinny attractions. There's an arched tightrope walk feature we've never seen at another playground. In addition to the fenced-in play areas, there is a splash pad for summertime use.

The Rockville Centre playground is inside Veterans Park.
Pack a picnic or some snacks and recharge under the shaded pavilion area. There are plenty of benches to rest tired feet as well. Aside from the pavilion area, the playground is not shaded, so plan accordingly.
Other recent Veterans Park improvements include ADA-compliant restrooms and water fountains, a fitness track, and renovated tennis, basketball, and handball courts. This park is free and open to all. Note that parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday in all municipal parking fields.
