FREE and Fun Things to Do This Weekend With Connecticut Kids: CT Trails Day, Alpacas and Greek Festival
This weekend is the 20th anniversary of the Connecticut Trails Day Celebration. There's your excuse to get out and go for a hike with the kids! There are over 193 events all over CT and we've listed a few of them in our calendar: Flat Stanley's CT Outdoor Adventure, Hike at the Audubon Society at Glastonbury, Litchfield Community Greenway, Walk with Bethlehem Land Trust, Nature Walk at Earthplace, CT Trails Day at Sharon Audubon Center, and Roaring Brook Nature Center.

For a wonderful FREE day of family fun please spend Sunday with us at the CT Summer Fun Expo in Milford. Free entertainment, goody bags, raffle prizes, kids activities and much more! I'll be there at our Mommy Poppins table so make sure to stop by and say HI! For more free fun enjoy free admission to Mashantucket Pequot Museum and the Connecticut Historical Society. At the Stonington Library spend a free and fun Lego afternoon. The 17th Annual Litchfield Community Day is free and full of family entertainment. Sunday afternoons are FREE at the Cheshire Historical Society. There's a free concert at the Manchester's Concert in the Park starting at 5pm. Find out how your kids can go bowling for free all summer long.
Check out the Alpacas at Auer Farm in Bloomfield and enjoy hayrides, games and an alpaca parade. You can also meet 2 visiting alpacas at the Institute of American Indian Studies in Washington.
Kids can explore the Slovak Republic at Stepping Stones Museum. In Hartford enjoy St. George's Annual Greek Festival. It's Family Fun Day at the New Britain Rock Cats Baseball game. Kids can run the bases after the game. If you are a Milford resident it's only $5 to get into the Beardsley Zoo on Saturday. Imagine what it was like in the Middle Ages at the Robin Hood Springtime Festival.
