Weekday Event Picks for LA Kids: Planetary Pursuits, QE2, & Free Fro-Yo, February 2-6

2/2/15 - By Jacqueline Stansbury

Start and end this week in contemplation of the universe. Monday it’s Family Astronomy night at the Memorial Branch Public Library, and on Friday Jupiter gets as close to Earth as it’s going to get. Meanwhile the people in the frozen yogurt business must have a case of brain freeze, because National Frozen Yogurt Day is apparently celebrated twice this week - and when we say celebrate, we mean free fro-yo!

Monday, Yogurtland is serving up the free fro-yo, and on Friday Menchie’s jumps in. Something tells me it won’t be a problem selling this one to the kids. There are plenty of non-dessert related things to do, though. For instance, a new month always means a new free mini-model at the Lego Store. Check out our event calendar for more ideas.

1. Family Astronomy Night – Monday
