The Railroad Museum of Long Island invites guests to its free Holiday Open House with a special visit—via the rails—from Santa himself.

2023 schedule:

  • Saturday, December 2-Sunday, December 3: Riverhead
  • Saturday, December 9-Sunday, December 10: Greenport 

Santa arrives from the North Pole on a Fairbanks-Morse four-man track speeder at noon each day with a gift for all children. Refreshments are served and a Lionel Winter Wonderland. A toy train set is raffled at Greenport on Sunday, December 10 at 2pm.  

The Riverhead location is also open on Saturdays through December 30.
