There are seemingly countless places to hold your birthday bash, but which ones will keep your guests happy and engaged (without breaking the bank)? From toddlers to teens, we've compiled a list of some of the newest party options throughout the great Garden State, including indoor play spaces, a trampoline park, art studio, and more. North Jersey

Bach to Rock – Denville
Looking to celebrate the birthday of a music-loving child? Bach to Rock has three great options (starting at around $315). The Rock Birthday Party (ages 7+) lets everyone sing and play in the band, and all guests receive a CD of the music recorded at the party. During the Karaoke Birthday Party (ages 6+), kids receive instruction in vocal techniques while learning some new tunes. And a Rock City Birthday Party (ages 4-6), lets little ones explore various music instruments. Note that refreshments and paper goods are not included.

The Busy Bee in Millburn has a sweet party space that can be decked out in your child's favorite theme.

This cute indoor play space—with a large climbing structure, slides, and imaginary play areasis a great party spot for young children. Ninety-minute parties (starting at $550 for 16 kids) include exclusive use of the facility plus a pizza lunch. Add-ons include crafts, organized games, and more. Have a STEM-tastic party at Genius Gems in Millburn.

Genius Gems — Millburn
Whether the guest of honor is turning 3 or 20, Genius Gems will entertain your party crowd with 60 minutes of fun building activities plus 30 minutes for food, with three packages to choose from ($399–$850 for 16 people). Note that the base package does not include food.

One River School of Art & Design – Millburn
This innovative art studio does great birthday parties where kids can let their creative juices flow. Party guests get to use professional art materials and learn fine art techniques from artist-instructors while engaging in fun activities like making t-shirts with their own prints. Art parties include two hours of art, play, and food, a customized party theme and activity, personalized decorations, and cake. Gluten-free and nut-free options are available. 

Rockin’ Jump – Wayne
Create an unforgettable party at Rockin' Jump, where guests can enjoy wall-to-wall trampolines, a vertical climbing wall, foam pit, dodgeball, and basketball hoops. Party pricing starts at $395 for an hour of tramp time and an hour of party room time for 10 jumpers.

Sky Zone – Springfield
This large tramp park has some nice perks for birthday parties, including a 30-day jump pass for the guest of honor, a bounce-back pass for each guest, sky socks for all jumpers, and more. Cool add-ons include Superhero Academy and private dodgeball court time. Starts at $20/jumper on weekdays and $30/jumper on weekends.

Have a pizza party plus play time at The Village Play Cafe in Chatham.

Looking for the perfect party place for the littlest of tykes? Intended for kids ages 5 and under, this bustling play village is home to a play grocery store, fire station, veterinary clinic, and a playhouse, plus a book nook, puzzle area, and more. The Village Play Cafe offers two party packages (starting at $350 and $575, respectively) that lets kids enjoy an hour of play followed by a pizza party, or an hour split between open play and crafts before pizza.

The Game and Party Place – Manville
Perfect for older kids and teens, this arcade features a variety of video game consoles, arcade games, and pinball machines. Party packages start at $295 for 10 guests, which includes 1.5 hours of game play plus 30 minutes of pizza and cake.

Sugar Plum Parties – Green Brook
Perfect for kids and teens who love to get glammed up, parties for five kids ($399) to 20 kids ($1,099) include themed costumes, themed activities, up-dos with a take-home hair accessory, sparkly nail polishing, make/take favors, singing, dancing, lunch (served on sparkly glassware) and more. We Rock the Spectrum Waretown – Waretown
We Rock the Spectrum Waretown is intended to give all kids and abilities have a place to play, create, and use their imaginations. Birthday party packages start at $275, and add-ons include themed parties, face painting, arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, and more.
