Summer Sports Camps in Central Connecticut

Believe it or not, it's already time to start thinking about summer camps! We've rounded up a list of indoor and outdoor sports camps in the Hartford area for your budding athlete. Michael Filipek Tennis & Sports Academy - Avon
This is an Adidas tennis camp and the Academy offers overnight and day camps on the campus of Avon Old Farms School for kids ages 8-17. Also, there is a Multi-sport Camp in which campers can practice tennis, soccer, and/or basketball skills.

The Farmington Sports Arena - Farmington
The Arena offers summer camps at its outdoor soccer complex. Camps are open to players of all levels beginning at age 5 up through high school. They specialize in technique, skill development, team play, and sportsmanship, which are taught through age-appropriate exercises and games. Half-day Camp is available for ages 5-14, Team Camp is available for U-09 - U18 teams, and High School Prep Camp is open to incoming freshman through seniors.

Central Rock Gym - Glastonbury
Would your kids would like to try something new and participate in one of the climbing camps which are available all summer? The camps are for all skill levels and emphasize problem solving and team-building initiatives through fun games and teamwork. Kids will have the opportunity to experiment with different climbing techniques and learn how to belay properly. Extended day options are available. For ages 6-13.

Farmington Valley Gymnastics - Farmington
Farmington Valley offers half- and full-day camps for ages 4 and up. The program includes a gymnastics lesson, group games, arts & crafts, waterslide fun, and open gym time. You can sign up for a full week (discounted) or pay by the day. Enroll online or call for more information. Camps start June 19.

The Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford Sports Jams - West Hartford
The JCC offers a series of 5-day outdoor sports clinics. Programs include tennis, competitive swim, baseball, football, golf, basketball, soccer, karate, and a sports variety program. The basketball jam is held at the Mandell JCC in West Hartford, the golf jam is held at Tumblebrook Country Club in Bloomfield, and all other jams are held at the JCC Swim & Tennis Club in Bloomfield. Before- and after-care options are available beginning at 7:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm.

The Hospital for Special Care Ivan Lendl Adaptive Sports Camp - West Hartford
Adaptive Sports is a day camp offered one week during August for kids ages 6-19 living with physical disabilities. Campers are provided instruction in a variety of adaptive sports throughout the week, including tennis, swimming, track and field, basketball, and hand-cycling. The 2015 camp will be held August 3-7 on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph. Visit the website to download and complete necessary enrollment forms.

Farmington Valley Fencing Academy - Farmington
Do you have a swordsman in your house? Learn the Olympic sport of fencing at the Farmington Valley Fencing Academy. Programs are available for kids age 7 and up.

Parisi Sports Camps - Bristol
In Parisi's 8000 square foot training facility, campers can hone in their skills playing soccer, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, volleyball or football. Kids will gain confidence, develop their skills and win the big one!
