Choose from one of two hikes bring offered on the first day of the year. The First Hike will be with Ranger Russ on the Moraine Trail. This is a half-mile moderately challenging hike, with rocks to step over and around. 
 
The Second Hike will be with Bob Kuchta, Madison's former tree warden. Bob will share his knowledge about the trees in the park. The walk will either be on the Cedar Island Trail or the Willard's Island Trail, depending on the size of the group. This walk is flatter and less strenuous than the Moraine Trail hike.
