Best Pumpkin Patches Near Orlando for Families

Fall is upon us, which means it’s time for pumpkins!There are many pumpkin patches all around Central Florida to find the perfect pumpkin to carve or paint, and we've rounded up our favorites. 

These Orlando-area pumpkin patches serve as great backdrops for fall family photos, and several of them also offer activities such as pony rides, petting zoos, playgrounds and more for kids to enjoy. There is even a patch you can visit to pick your own pumpkin straight from the vine!

1. Santa’s Farm — Eustis

Open weekends in 2020 from the last weekend of September through Halloween, as well as select weekdays. Face coverings required for guests ages 3 and up. Timed-entry tickets can be purchased online. Capacity is limited to below 50%. 
A Lot of Pumpkins at Santa’s Farm offers a large shaded pumpkin patch, as well as activities such as a magical monster maze, horse and pony rides, hay rides, bounce pillow, giant slide, and barrel train rides.  Guests can also visit with the animals at Jack’s Barnyard and check out the brand-new sky Goatwalk.

2. Southern Hill Farms — Clermont

Open September 26 – November 8, 2020, on Thursdays through Sundays. Online ticket purchases are required. Face masks are required when waiting in lines, participating in activities, and when social distancing cannot be maintained.
Fall at Southern Hill Farms boasts a pumpkin patch barn with a wide variety pumpkins, as well as corn stalks and gourds. Other activities include farm wagon rides, sunflower and zinnia u-pick, petting zoo, covered playground, yard games, touch-a-tractor, giant fun slide, cyclone swing, jump pillows, and more.

3. East Lake Pumpkin Patch — Sorrento

Open daily from September 27 – October 31, 2020, from 11am-7pm.  Social distancing and masks are encouraged, and handwashing stations will be available. 
This annual pumpkin patch is hosted by the East Lake Chamber of Commerce. It offers a wide variety of pumpkins in a shaded lot with several spots for photos. New this year is a storytime offered each Saturday at noon.

4. Pumpkin Ponderosa at Showcase of Citrus — Clermont

Open daily October 1 – November 27, 2020, from 9am-7pm. Free admission.
This fall event includes a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, outdoor games and hayrides. Guests can also enjoy the famous Monster truck tour through the ranch, u-pick citrus, farm animals and gem mining.

5. The Pickin' Patch — Dunnellon

Open Fridays through Sundays from October 2-25, 2020. Online ticket options are available.
About an hour and a half northwest of Orlando lies Florida's genuine pick out of the field pumpkin patch. Bring your own clippers and wagon, and traverse the 20-acre farm to pick the perfect pumpkin right off the vine. The whole family can also enjoy a corn maze, hay fort with slides, hay maze, live music and sunflower picking.

6. Painted Oaks Academy Pumpkins and Ponies — Orlando

Open daily October 3-31, 2020, from 10am-6pm. Guests must purchase tickets online in advance. A free drive-thru option is available as well for contactless pumpkin picking.
Bring the kids to pick out at pumpkin at Painted Oaks Academy, where they can also enjoy pony rides, hayrides, and train rides. Food will be available for purchase as well.

7. Renninger's Fall in the Field — Mount Dora

Open October 3-4, 2020, from 9am-5pm.  
The annual Fall in the Field event at Renninger's Twin Markets includes a pumpkin patch full of heirloom pumpkins fresh from Ohio. This weekend event also includes music, food, make-and-take crafts, and mini pumpkin decorating for kids.

8. Sunsational Farms Fall Festival — Umatilla

Open Saturdays from October 3-24, 2020. Hours are 11am-3pm. No admission fee to enter; games and activities are ticketed.
The Fall Festival at Sunsational Farms includes a pumpkin patch with u-pick mini pumpkins. Additional activities include carnival games, scavenger hunt maze, bee train, and face painting. A food truck and farm store are also onsite.

9. Central Parkway Baptist Church — Orlando

Open daily October 10-31, 2020, with various hours. A trunk-or-treat will take place on Halloween from 6-8pm.
Located near the attractions, this pumpkin patch is open daily to the public. Bring the kids to pick out a carving pumpkin and snap some memorable photos.

10. The BackWoods Family Farm — Groveland

Open October 10-11, 2020, from 11am-6pm. Admission is $1 per person. Timed entry tickets can be purchased online.
This fall weekend event includes a pumpkin patch, farmers market, petting zoo, playground, food, and more.

11. The PumpKIND Patch — Sanford

Open October 10-31, 2020. Hours are Mon-Fri from 5pm-9pm, and Sat-Sun 12pm-8pm.
A large field of pumpkins are available to choose from at this new pumpkin patch in Sanford. Special events will also be offered throughout the season, including craft days and a costume party.

12. College Park United Methodist Church — Orlando

Open October 18-31, 2020. Hours are Mon-Fri 4-7pm, and Sat-Sun from 10am-7pm. 
This annual outdoor pumpkin patch in College Park is open daily and offers a variety of pumpkins. Pick your perfect pumpkin or just drop by for fall family photos.
