When the time is right, you want a trusted place to take swimming lessons in Connecticut. You may have a little fish or even a child who is scared around water. Either way, swimming lessons are important for teaching kids to be comfortable and safe at Connecticut's many pools, lakes, and beaches. There are many venues that offer Mommy and Me swim classes in Hartford and Fairfield Counties, as well as ongoing skill-building lessons in the water.

Located at the Westminster School, this Farmington Valley indoor swimming facility features an Olympic-size 8-lane pool, lots of natural light, and an architecturally delightful natatorium. Choose from a 11-lane lap pool set at 79 degrees, a zero-depth entry, a multi-purpose pool that is heated to 86 degrees, and a large hydrotherapy pool. Swim laps in the 6-lane, 25-yard lap pool or take part in structured lessons taught by swim teachers. Lifeguards are on duty during all hours of operation. Swimming lessons are offered at WHS by The School of Swimming. These classes are one hour long and are available to children ages 3.5 and up It is a daily swimming class that increases the student's comfort with the water quickly, adding skills on as they go.  READ MORE
