Looking for the best things to do in Miami and South Florida this weekend? Here are some great family-friendly events and activities to add to your schedule.

With the holidays squarely in the rear-view mirror and children back in school, parents in Miami and South Florida might have to come up with some inventive ways to entertain little ones. Luckily, we at Mommy Poppins have the skinny on the best weekend happenings in the region throughout January.

This weekend, families can bond over a campfire and hayride in Deerfield Beach, music and food in Coconut Creek, a bike rodeo at the Underline in Miami, and at free family museum days across South Florida.

For some creative fun, check out LEGO Weekend at the Museum of Discovery and Science or The Bremen Town Musicians in Pinecrest. You can also close the book on the holiday season at the final weekend of lights at Fairfield Tropical Botanic Garden.
