Awesome Outdoor Mini Golf in Atlanta

The Fringe at Area 51 —Roswell

The Fringe Miniature Golf offers two 18-hole courses in the heart of Roswell. Kids of all ages will enjoy sinking balls into the colorfully decorated challenges, each with a pirate and/or mining theme (during major holidays, Fringe adds even more decorations to their putt-putt). Bonus? Family entertainment center Area 51 not only houses The Fringe miniature golf, but also Aurora Cineplex movie theater, in case the family wants to stay for a movie after playing 18 holes.

Play one course and the cost is adult $9, senior (55 and over) and children (3-12) $6 (under age 2 is always free); play both courses and the rates are $13.50 and $9 respectively. There are also all-day rates as well as family rates. Make sure to check The Fringe website and social media page as they are always offering weekday deals and wacky special events.

Skyline Park —Atlanta

Sitting atop the fabulous Ponce City Market (PCM), Skyline Park is a rooftop play area featuring a boardwalk style with, of course, a retro miniature golf course. There are also carnival-style games like skee-ball, horse derby race, basketball, and break-a-plate, as well as a three-story slide and a heege tower (you hoist your seat up by rope and let yourself fall). The available food at Skyline Park goes far beyond cliche snacks and there are adult beverages available for parents.

Access to The Roof at PCM and Skyline Park involves daily ticket admission (prices depend on specific days, times, and ages). Visitors can also add an all-access pass to a daily or group ticket to get unlimited access to miniature golf, as well as the other games. Skyline Park is open Monday - Wednesday 3-10 pm, Thursday 3-11 pm, Friday 3pm-12 am (only adults 21+ after 5 pm), Saturday 11 am-12 am (only adults 21+ after 5pm), and Sunday 11 am-10 pm.

Pirates Cove —Duluth

Argh mateys, who's ready to find treasure in them thar putting holes?! Let kiddos unleash their inner Jack Sparrows at Pirates Cove Adventure Golf for a day of treasured golf balls and a pirate ship that will shiver their timbers. Families can play 27 holes as well as options for birthday parties and group events. Captain's Course costs $10.50 for adults, $9.50 for kids 4-12 (under age 3 is free); the 27-Hole Adventure is $12.50 for adults, $10.50 for kids. Pirates Cove is open Monday - Thursday 10:30 am-9 pm, Friday 10:30 am-10 pm, Saturday 10 am-10 pm, and Sunday 10 am-9 pm.

Great Locomotive Chase at Stone Mountain Park —Stone Mountain

All aboard the fun train at Great Locomotive Chase, where putt-putt golf sits at the base of magical Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain Park's miniature golf attraction is based on the historical military raid that occurred during the Civil War, known as the Great Locomotive Chase. Families can enjoy the train-themed holes as the Scenic Railroad literally passes right by the course. Players must purchase an attractions pass for $29.95 for anyone over the age of 12, $24.95 for kids ages 3-11, and free for kids under age 2. There are also attraction passes that include a meal option or various annual memberships. Other attractions at Stone Mountain Park include Summit Skyride, Scenic Railroad, Dinotorium, Geyser Tower, and much more.

Malibu Norcross — Norcross

Show off your putting skills on the two miniature golf courses at Malibu Norcross, just mind the wild hazards, including a tough windmill. Kids and adults alike have a great time at Malibu Norcross, choose the perfect color golf ball to sink many hole-in-ones. When golf is over, head over to the other attractions at Malibu Norcross, including batting cages, bumper boats, go-karts, arcade, and more. One game of mini golf is $12.99 per person (kids under the age of 5 are free), but there are additional ticket packages to purchase if kids want to try the other attractions. Miniature golf hours are Monday - Sunday 12-9 pm (hours differ depending on the attraction so call or check their website).

Mountasia Marietta - Marietta

Families in the Marietta area love to unwind outdoors at Mountasia Marietta and putt at one of the three miniature golf courses. Enjoy the water features and hit the ball through Mountasia's challenging cave to try and win the game! Want something more than mini golf? Ride the go-kart track or play some video games in the arcade.  One game of mini golf is $12.99 per person (kids under the age of 5 are free), but there are additional ticket packages to purchase if kids want to try the other attractions. Miniature golf and arcade hours are open every day 12-9 pm (go-karts open Monday - Friday 3-9 pm, Saturday - Sunday 12-9 pm).

Indoor Mini Golf in Atlanta That Glows

Puttshack —Atlanta

If you like playing mini golf on the edge, Puttshack is the place to sink a few. Newly opened in Westside's Interlock community, Puttshack is an elevated indoor course full of tech-heavy mechanics and an upscale vibe. Puttshack may be a better option for older kids, tweens, and teens, especially because no one under the age of 21 is allowed inside after 8 pm. Highlights include an interactive leader board (your ball is linked to your individual profile!), digital prize wheel, and elevated themed holes. Adults and teens (13 and older) are $12 and kids under the age of 12 are $8. Puttshack's hours are Monday - Wednesday 4 pm-12 am, Thursday 4 pm-1 am, Friday and Saturday 11 am-1 am, and Sunday 11 am - 12 am.

Monster Mini Golf — Marietta

We're not going to lie — if your children don't love monsters or spooky costumes, this is NOT the miniature golf course to visit. However, those kids who love things that go bump in the night (especially glow-in-the-dark things) will LOVE Monster Mini Golf in Marietta. Think of this course as a cross between mini golf, haunted house, interactive theater, and a neon theme party rolled up into one. Players enjoy blacklights illuminating the 18-hole course as animated monsters laugh, move, and interact with players, as well as music thumping from Monster's internal radio station, WIRD Radio. In addition to golf, older kids and teens can check out the arcade and virtual reality experience. Monster Mini Golf is open Monday - Thursday 2-9 pm, Friday 2-10 pm, Saturday 12-10 pm, and Sunday 12-8 pm. Little Monsters (kids), seniors, and military are $9 and Big Monsters (adults) are $11.

Lunar Golf — Lawrenceville and Kennesaw

The only thing better than playing mini golf in Atlanta is playing mini golf in Atlanta in the dark! Lunar Golf, with locations in both Lawrenceville and Kennesaw, celebrates all things neon with themes like space, dinosaurs, and underwater animals. Hours vary based on location. Prices are $9 per player, $6 for kids 5 and under, $8 for seniors and military, and ages 2 and under are free. General admission does include two rounds of golf (36 holes) and one shot at the prize hole at the end of the course.
