(Video) Egg House Opens on LES with Pop-up Playground and Museum
Attention social media mavens and budding Instagram stars, The Egg House, an interactive pop-up with a funky story has just opened on the Lower East Side. Photo-ops abound as you wind your way through the fantastical wonderland that is Ellis the Egg's fictional New York City pad.
It's part playground, part museum, part snackbar—all served with a healthy side of one of our favorite proteins...eggs.

Enjoy tasty treats from vendors serving egg-flavored bites.
Located across the street from the kid-friendly Sarah D. Roosevelt Park, The Egg House is guarded by two yolk-hued doors; step through them and you'll find yourself in an Instagram-friendly nirvana.
Take a seat in a larger-than-life egg carton, go for a dip in a "caviar-filled" pool (aka ultra-kid pleasing ball pit with yellow and white balls), nosh on egg-centric dishes, sway in an over-easy egg-shaped swing in the dreamy garden, and catch a glimpse of the sleepy Ellis, who snoozes on his bed, worn out from his adventures all over NYC; adventures chronicled on video and visible through his bedroom window.

Kids will enjoy the ball pit, swing, and other interactive elements of the pop-up.
The Egg House opened its doors on Saturday, April 7, and remains open through Wednesday, June 27. Located at 195 Chrystie Street, children ages 3 and younger enter for FREE; ages 4-9 are $12 and admission for everyone ages 10+ is $18 and can be purchased online.
By the way, another Instagram-worthy pop-up just opened in Williamsburg if you want to really impress the kids. Although, this one, Dream Machine, is all about sleep, which maybe the parents will enjoy more, but there is a ball pit here, too!
