While typically considered a holiday for adults, New Year's Eve celebrations aren't just for the 18-and-up age group. In fact, Houston has quite a few kid-friendly New Year's Eve celebrations lined up that allow kids to ring in the New Year with their families in a safe, fun environment, whether it's making a trip down to the Kemah Boardwalk to watch fireworks over the water or heading to the ever-popular Children's Museum of Houston for a kid-approved balloon drop and "Noon" Year countdown.

The fun doesn't end on New Year's, either. Our Guide to Holiday and Christmas Events and our Winter Activities Guide will carry you through the holiday season this year and our event calendar is updated daily, making it the perfect resource for those days after the holidays when being off of school may start to get a little boring.
